About the client
Our client is a shipping company based in Curaçao that handles cargo operations for several major container shipping lines as well as a car carrier. The organization works daily with international shipping lines, the stevedore, customs, and local importers and exporters, and is known for its professional, hands-on approach to cargo handling.

 

Responsebilities

  • Process customer orders for import and export cargoes

  • Enter, edit, and process data for import and export cargoes

  • Maintain daily contact with international shipping lines, local and international customers, and local port service providers, including the stevedore and customs

  • Manage and oversee the cargo department

  • Act as the right hand of the Line Manager, working independently when the Line Manager is unavailable

  • Lead, delegate, and divide tasks across the cargo team as the role develops


Profile

  • Experience in shipping and/or logistics

  • HBO or HAVO+ level education

  • A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Fluency in English, Dutch, and Papiamento, both spoken and written

  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • A valid driver's license (minimum Category B)

  • A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG)
