Financial Accountant

Position

As a Financial Accountant, you will support the Accounting Coordinator in maintaining accurate financial records and preparing timely financial reports. You will assist in month-end, quarterly, and annual closings, contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Ensure accurate data exchange between POS systems, accounting system, and Group reporting application;
• Review financial transactions through Mambu for the cash lending business;
• Monitor and maintain data mapping integrity across systems.
• Contribute to different reporting activities with various frequencies, meeting deadlines;
• Ensure timely closing of the General Ledger, Trial Balance, and Subledgers;
• Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and balance sheet reviews;
• Assist with audit preparation and ensure timely responses to audit queries;
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Requirements

• Completed bachelor’s degree in finance, accountancy, business administration, or a related field;
• At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a retail environment;
• Technical accounting skills with knowledge of IFRS;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel;
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish and Dutch are a plus;
• High level of work ethics, professionalism, and attention to detail;
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
• Willingness to occasionally travel to regional locations.
