For one of our clients in the facility services sector we are currently looking for a Junior Finance & Administration Officer. They specialize in offering different facilities and pest control services for several organizations in Curaçao.
Position
The Junior Finance & Administration Officer is responsible for providing essential support to both the finance and administrative functions. This position presents an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional to gain practical experience in finance and administration within a dynamic work environment. You will be working both independently and within a team. A proactive and self-motivated approach, coupled with a willingness to learn and develop in the role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate in the preparation of various financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Actively participate in the debt collection team, assisting in the collection of outstanding payments from clients and customers.
- Facilitate procurement processes, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date administrative files and records.
- Provide administrative support to multiple departments, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of office procedures and policies.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as delegated by management.
You have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Relevant experience in a similar role. Preferably some internship or work experience in finance or administration.
- Excellent time management, organizational abilities, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Proficient in English, Dutch and Papiamentu.
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
