Job Description

The Category Manager's main goal is to optimize sales and margins for their assigned categories. This will be achieved by understanding the brands, products, target market, sales analysis, brand positioning and marketing approach. The Category Manager is responsible for providing a viable range of products as well as the facilitation of quick turnarounds from analysis, decision making to buying. The role will have commercial thinking by setting sales targets, price benchmarking and negotiating promotions and events.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Professional attitude and ability to be flexible and deal with change
  • Hands on experience with analyzing data and making forecasts
  • Analytical and critical thinker
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to train sales staff
  • Confident to solve problems and communicate with Management and other stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch, Papiamento or Spanish is a plus)
