Algemeen Pensioenfonds of Sint Maarten (APS) is an independent entity within the portfolio of the Minister of Finance. Established in 2010, APS has been responsible for the pension administration of more than 5,200 participants. Its objective is to achieve the highest possible return on capital while maintaining minimal financial risk.
In recent years, APS has built a solid foundation for reliable pension administration. The organization is committed to transparency and reliability. With a team of 13 employees, the focus is on further strengthening internal processes and improving communication with participants, employers, and other stakeholders.
This position requires a highly developed sense of responsibility regarding data quality, internal control, and the reliability of financial information. As a Senior Financial Administration Officer, you are responsible for reviewing and supporting the financial administration, including month-end closings, annual financial statements, and annual budgets. You prepare financial reports and support colleagues in addressing complex financial matters.
In addition, the role involves overseeing local and international investment administration, ensuring compliance with agreements, and maintaining professional relationships with external parties such as banks and software providers. The position includes coordination and collaboration with the pension payroll provider and internal colleagues, acting as a backup where necessary, and providing guidance and advice on more complex issues. In this way, you contribute to the efficiency and continued professionalization of APS.
