Senior Financial Officer

Are you a seasoned financial professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for transparent reporting? Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Officer to play a key role in ensuring financial compliance and delivering strategic insights.

About the role

As Senior Financial Officer, you will be part of the Finance Department (4 people) and directly report to the Finance Manager. You will be responsible for preparing various financial reports, monitoring transactions, and supporting decision-making through clear and accurate analyses. You will operate in a complex environment due to international scope and scalability, where quality, reliability, curiosity and focus are paramount. Your key responsibilities:

• Assisting in and preparing of monthly, quarterly, and annual (financial) reports for the Curacao entities and HQ
• Manage, support and oversee daily financial and accounting transactions
• Assist in improvement and optimization of reporting processes and ERP system reporting tools
• Support with tax filings and internal processes optimalizations
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial documentation

Your profile

You have extensive financial experience and a naturally curious mindset. The role requires independence and a high level of integrity. You learn by exploring, investigating how things work, and taking initiative. You should feel comfortable trying new approaches and not be afraid of making mistakes along the way. Furthermore:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, FP&A or a related field
• Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus
• Experience with accounting software such as Sap Business One or similar
• Familiarity with financial reporting processes and related deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Analytical, decisive, and solution-oriented
• Strong in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI)
• Experience in AI related solutions is a plus
